About You:
As a results-driven leader, you bring extensive experience in managing business operations to ensure alignment with best-practice regulatory standards. You excel at driving continual improvement by leveraging technology and risk-based strategies to enhance regulatory compliance across the Branch.
With a strong focus on collaboration, you lead the development of data-driven insights to monitor and report on regulatory performance, ensuring policies achieve optimal outcomes. You are skilled at identifying and implementing technology and process solutions that modernize and improve regulatory capability, while engaging both internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful results.
Your Opportunity:
As the Director, you will play a central role in shaping and driving the strategic direction of the Branch's regulatory performance. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of highly skilled managers, each focused on critical areas that directly impact the efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation of our regulatory processes.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- You will guide and mentor managers responsible for overseeing business support, administration, and regulatory decision-making, ensuring the timely delivery of high-level advice, correspondence, and briefings to senior management, the Leadership Team, and key stakeholders, including the Minister and Director-General.
- You will lead the modernization of business, information, technology, and communication systems across the Branch, ensuring that systems and practices are effective, streamlined, and aligned with business objectives. You will be at the forefront of identifying and implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance operational performance.
- You will oversee the development and implementation of evidence-based regulatory practices that promote trust, accountability, and efficiency. This includes contributing to strategic plans, policies, procedures, and communication strategies to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
- With your leadership, the Branch will drive continuous quality improvements across regulatory practices, utilizing a proactive risk-based approach to improve decision-making processes and reduce complaints and compliance issues. You will also play a key role in identifying and addressing emerging risks and compliance trends, ensuring the Branch remains adaptable and responsive.
- You will lead stakeholder engagement efforts, managing complex and sensitive regulatory matters, and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Your role will involve responding to critical issues and ensuring the Branch's regulatory strategies are aligned with whole-of-government frameworks.
- As a member of the Registration Services Leadership Team, you will contribute to developing overarching strategies that support the delivery of high-performing regulatory services. You will support team members' growth, ensuring that they have the necessary tools, skills, and guidance to achieve regulatory goals and contribute to continuous improvement.
