The Capability branch is located in the Schools and Student Support Division. The Capability branch is committed to a thriving and capable workforce equipped with the skills and confidence to support every student to realise their potential. A key part of the Capability branch is the Education Futures Institute (EFI) that delivers high-quality, evidence-informed and equitable capability development for a diverse workforce across key career stages.
The Education Futures Institute provides high quality, targeted professional learning for staff located in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote locations across the state. The EFI empowers staff with the skills, knowledge and capability to excel in their role.
The Education Futures Institute is a key system initiative in the department's education strategy, Equity and Excellence: Realising the potential of every student.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you will lead a dynamic team to ensure the strategic implementation of the Education Futures Institute as a key system initiative.
As Director, you will:
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to and enable state-wide delivery of capability development aligned to the department's strategic vision, priorities and workforce needs.
- Lead and support a strategic approach to the development and delivery of a diverse portfolio of department wide, flagship and priority capability programs within the School Support and Corporate Capability portfolio.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including schools, regions and corporate partners, lead organisations and industry partners.
The Director reports to the Executive Director, Education Futures Institute, Capability Branch.
