As the Director you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership in performance measurement, monitoring and reporting through the effective administration, development and implementation of frameworks and systems that positively position the department to effectively use performance data in corporate and regional level planning, reporting, policy and accountability processes.
  • Provide expert high level strategic advice and performance analysis, build relationships and work collaboratively across the department to enable quality evidence-based decision making.
  • Develop, implement and administer policies, guidelines and procedures for the collection, storage, analysis and reporting of departmental performance data and information to support quality decision making at all systemic levels of service delivery.
  • Provide leadership to advance developments in data collections and analysis services and ensure alignment with national and state requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a data governance framework including data improvement strategies and data standards.
  • Develop and maintain performance information reporting systems to support policy decision making and to monitor progress on the achievement of organisational goals.
  • Analyse data to enact state and national reporting commitments, to inform planning and enable communication of key aspects of data.
  • Provide high level critical analysis of emergent performance and educational measurement issues and opportunities that may impact on the department's strategic direction and plans.
  • Represent the department in a broad range of high-level forums and national committees, and advocate on issues relating to the monitoring and reporting of key departmental outcomes.
  • Lead and direct teams to undertake extensive information gathering, performance activities and strategic analysis of early childhood and education related matters, to assist executive decision making and inform the future position of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with a range of clients, stakeholders and other teams within the Branch to support quality evidence-based decision making and policy development.
