Veritas Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Design Technology Teachers to work in a variety of secondary schools across East Lancashire. We have a range of exciting opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, short-term cover, long-term placements, and potential permanent positions.

Whether your specialism is Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, Food Technology, or Construction, we are keen to hear from qualified teachers who are passionate about inspiring the next generation of designers, engineers, and innovators.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and practical Design Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and assess student work where required
  • Support students in developing creative, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Maintain a safe and effective workshop or classroom environment
  • Foster positive behaviour and a love of learning
  • Contribute to the wider school community where appropriate

    • We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills
  • An enthusiastic and adaptable approach to teaching
  • A commitment to raising student achievement
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
