Veritas Education is currently recruiting Design & Technology Teachers to support a number of secondary schools in Padiham and the surrounding Lancashire area. We have a range of short-term, long-term and potential permanent opportunities available for passionate DT specialists looking to make an impact in local schools.

The Role

You will deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 in some settings. Schools are seeking teachers with strong practical workshop skills and the ability to inspire students through hands-on learning and innovative design projects.

We Are Particularly Interested In Teachers With Experience In:

  • Product Design and Resistant Materials
  • CAD/CAM technologies
  • 3D Printing and Laser Cutting
  • Workshop machinery and practical DT environments
  • Working with timber, metals and polymers
  • GCSE and A-Level Product Design
  • NEA and coursework support
  • Project-based learning and prototype development
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety within workshops

    • The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Design & Technology within UK secondary schools
  • Be confident teaching Product Design and Resistant Materials
  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Have a passion for practical, creative and technical learning
  • Be committed to supporting student progress and achievement
