  • building the religious life of the school and a vibrant Catholic identity within the school community;
  • growing the engagement, progress, achievement and wellbeing of each student in the school; and
  • building a sustainable school community, ensuring stewardship of resources with transparency, accountability and compliance.


As Deputy Principal - Operations and Strategy, you will be a key member of the College Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic vision and the learning culture of St Michael’s College for the provision of a quality education for our students. In particular you will:

  • implement evidence-based strategies to lead students and staff in goal setting and student voice practices to improve teaching responses that support student learning progress
  • implement evidence-based strategies to enhance efficient daily operations of the College
  • contribute to the development of the annual College timetable for students and staff
  • lead resource deployment to support the strategic goals of the school, and equitable outcomes for students
  • support the Principal in the enrolment processes
  • support the Principal in provision of Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program for staff
  • support the Principal in the Master Planning, building and maintenance processes
  • oversee quality assurance in the use of data and enterprise learning systems
  • oversee and maintain the College data plan
  • oversee the organisation and operation of the College, inclusive of management of College Calendar and oversight of Daily Organisation (inclusive of excursion and variation to routine processes)
  • oversee organisation of exam schedules, parent/student/teacher interviews.

Initial Contract Period: Initial 5 year contract phase with a further 5 years subject to satisfactory performance in the role
Salary and Range: $148,813 - $160,193 per annum plus Super
Campus: Secondary College | 848 enrolments
