About the Role

The Deputy Principal wil look after the Curriculum, Teaching & Learning (Senior Schooling) of our school and is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and works closely with the Principal, Deputy Principals and Heads of Department to lead whole-school improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

Curriculum, Pedagogy & Instructional Leadership

  • Lead the design, implementation and quality assurance of whole-school curriculum and assessment.
  • Drive consistent, evidence-based pedagogical practice aligned to the Australian Curriculum v9.
  • Build teacher capability through professional learning, coaching, moderation and feedback.
  • Use data to monitor impact, target priority cohorts and improve equity and outcomes.
    Senior Schooling & Pathways
  • Provide strategic leadership of the Senior Phase of Learning (Years 10-12).
  • Oversee senior curriculum coherence, subject viability and QCE outcomes.
  • Strengthen SET planning, pathway clarity and post-school transitions.
  • Ensure senior schooling systems and compliance are managed with precision and integrity.

Leadership & Culture

  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Model calm, relational and visible leadership.
  • Embed inclusive and socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required and contribute to whole-school leadership.
