Ripley Central State School (Prep to year 6) is located in the growing Ripley area and opened in Term 1, 2023 (on 23rd January).

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Ensuring their passion and purpose as a school community member is visible and valuable.
  • Collaborating in teams and ensuring collective teacher efficacy with a shared responsibility and accountability for every child succeeding.
  • Leading with consistency of practice in a learning environment that celebrates teacher creativity and innovation alongside student voice and agency.
  • Measuring their impact on student achievement and improvement through planned data use, using data to challenge assumptions and importantly, to inform decisions, actions and practice.
  • Maintaining a high working knowledge of the Australian Curriculum, allowing active contribution to planning, moderation and a deliberate focus on improving pedagogical practice and teaching strategies.

While the strategic and operational roles and responsibilities of the Deputy Principal will be developed in consultation with the Executive Leadership Team, We have two Deputy Principal positions within our school structure of Prep to Year 2 OR Year 3 to Year 6 student sector leadership. This position is advertised as a Prep to Year 2, however the successful applicant acknowledges this may change and be fluid as we grow.

Deputy Principals are important members of the Executive Leadership Team and will report directly to the Principal.
