Step Into Your Next Chapter:
As the Deputy Principal you will play a critical leadership role with responsibility for Years 5 and 6 and the strategic focus on pedagogies across the curriculum.
Working closely with the Principal and the Senior Leadership Team, you will support teachers to embed a coherent, evidence-informed Reading Framework across the curriculum ensuring alignment between curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and intervention.
You will champion reading as a shared responsibility of all teachers and curriculum areas and support staff to develop the capability, confidence and consistency required to embed the whole school approach to reading.
You will work closely with the leadership team to analyse data, and monitor the alignment of pedagogies across the curriculum.
Responsibilities include:
- Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schools
- Develop the quality of teaching and learning
- Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.
- Oversee data collection, analysis and response, including NAPLAN and internal monitoring, to inform targeted teaching and intervention
- Build strong partnerships with feeder high schools to strengthen continuity of learning and shared approaches to literacy and transition
- Contribute to whole-school strategic planning, policy development and operational leadership as a member of the Executive Leadership Team
