About Middlemount Community

Middlemount Community School is a state school that provides a quality education from Prep to Year 12. Our school, with an enrolment of approximately 300 students, serves the local mining community of Middlemount and the surrounding rural properties. In Prep to year 6, we develop strong foundations through the Australian Curriculum and our literacy and numeracy programs. Our Junior Secondary department builds on these foundations, with a strong focus on wellbeing and engagement. In the senior phase, students are prepared for further education and training or pathways into employment and industry through a successful program of school based apprenticeships and traineeships.

About the Role

Middlemount Community School is a P - 12 state school in Central Queensland. Our school, with an enrolment of approximately 250 students, serves the local mining community of Middlemount and the surrounding rural properties. The Deputy Principal at MCS will have a strong focus on:

  • Curriculum
  • Pedagogy
  • Attendance
  • Behaviour Management
  • Staff Inductions
