About the Role
As the Deputy Principal, your responsibilities will include the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Partnering with the Principal to provide strategic, instructional and operational leadership for the school.
- Leading the implementation of the School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan, with a focus on student achievement, engagement and success.
- Providing instructional leadership to ensure high quality teaching, learning, assessment and moderation practices informed by evidence and data.
- Line managing Heads of Department (The Arts, Technologies and Tallon Engagement), supporting performance, coherence and accountability.
- Building staff capability through coaching, mentoring, feedback and targeted professional learning aligned to school and system priorities.
- Leading wellbeing, engagement and behaviour support strategies, including executive responsibility for Tallon House.
- Overseeing senior schooling pathways through effective Senior Education and Training Plan (SETP) processes, subject selection and transition planning.
Coordinating and providing executive oversight of key Term 3 priorities, including:
- 2027 timetabling and subject selection
- Year 10 subject selection processes, Subject Expo and SET planning
- Term 3 reporting processes
- Parent-Teacher Interviews
