About the Role
Located in Brisbane's north, Kedron State High School is a large, high-performing metropolitan secondary school recognised for strong academic outcomes and a broad co-curricular program.
As Deputy Principal, you will work in close partnership with the Principal and Executive Team to lead key improvement priorities across the school.
- You will actively contribute to the development and enactment of a shared educational vision that ensures every student is known, supported, and successful.
- You will lead with integrity, professionalism, and a strong moral purpose, modelling inclusive and socially just practices that underpin a positive and high-expectations culture.
Portfolio Responsibilities
Within this role, the Deputy Principal will have specific responsibility for:
- Strategic leadership of the Student Council, fostering authentic student voice, agency, and leadership capability across the school.
- Leadership of student wellbeing frameworks, including the development of proactive and responsive supports that enhance engagement, belonging, and success.
- Revitalisation and strategic development of the Alumni network, strengthening connections that support student aspiration, pathways, and community pride.
- Leadership of Middle School data practices, including deep analysis of student performance, engagement, and wellbeing data to inform targeted improvement strategies.
- Oversight of SET Planning (Senior Education and Training Plans), ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment to meaningful student pathways.
