As a key member of the Senior Executive Team, the Deputy Principal Head of Secondary School will contribute to the strategic, cultural and organisational leadership of the College while holding primary responsibility for the performance and outcomes of Years 7–12. Reporting directly to the Principal, the role leads the Secondary School with clarity, influence and decisive judgement, translating College priorities into aligned systems, consistent practice and measurable improvement. The role encompasses learning and teaching, curriculum, student wellbeing and behaviour, staff performance and capability, operations, and community engagement, while strengthening continuity and alignment across the College’s E–12 experience.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Commitment to actively model and promote the Christian faith, Lutheran ethos and strategic vision of the College.
- A strong record of strategic leadership that has delivered measurable improvement in secondary student learning, engagement, wellbeing and pathways.
- Educational leadership with the ability to drive excellence in learning, teaching and curriculum using data to strengthen professional practice and student outcomes.
- The ability to build high-performing teams through clear expectations, coaching, feedback, accountability and the effective development of established and emerging leaders.
- Exceptional organisational and operational leadership, including experience aligning people, structures, resources and systems with strategic and educational priorities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong partnerships across the College and wider community.
