About the Role:
The Deputy Principal provides strategic and operational leadership to support high-quality teaching, effective school operations, and positive student outcomes. The role oversees key areas such as curriculum implementation, staff performance and development, student wellbeing and behaviour, and organisational processes, while working collaboratively with staff to build a consistent, supportive and improvement-focused school culture.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Support the Principal in leading the school community to develop and commit to a shared vision focused on high-quality learning outcomes for all students, and deputise when required.
- Model ethical, values-based leadership by embedding socially just practices into everyday school life.
- Promote high expectations and continuous improvement by setting strong performance standards and engaging in ongoing professional learning.
- Build and sustain effective partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, and industry to enhance student opportunities.
- Lead strategically and with a future focus by understanding relevant legislation and policies, and managing resources effectively to achieve school goals.
