About Blackwater North State School

Blackwater North State School is a primary school catering for students from Prep to Year 6. The school is set in pleasant grounds with shaded areas for the children to sit and enjoy their lunch. The school's design is low set taking into consideration the needs of students with disabilities. This is especially important because there is a Special Needs Program in the school that cares for students with varying individual requirements.

Facilities at the school include two computer labs, a multi-purpose court allowing a number of different sports to be played, a Hall where many social and educational activities are held and a modern Information Centre. All school buildings are air-conditioned and fridges are provided for children to store their lunches.

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Deputise for the Principal when required.
  • Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.

About You

  • Demonstrated working with beginning and new teachers.
  • Demonstrated instructional leadership across P-6 classrooms.
  • Demonstrated enactment of the curriculum leadership through effective planning process and support to enact.
