Are you looking to gain valuable experience in secondary schools across Wakefield and Kirklees? Veritas Education are seeking confident, adaptable, and motivated individuals to join our team of Daily Cover Supervisors, supporting local schools with day-to-day cover needs.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. You will:

  • Supervise classes across a range of subjects using pre-prepared work
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support pupils in remaining engaged with their learning
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of the day
  • Contribute to a positive and safe learning environment

    • This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, teaching assistants looking to step up, or anyone with strong classroom management skills and a passion for education.

    What We're Looking For

    We welcome applications from individuals who have:

  • Experience working with young people (education, sports coaching, youth work, tutoring, etc.)
  • Strong communication and behaviour-management skills
  • A calm, professional, and confident presence
  • Flexibility to work at short notice
  • A genuine interest in supporting the progress of secondary school pupils

    • A degree is beneficial but not essential, and full training can be provided.
