About the Role

Secondary schools across the Rossendale area of Lancashire are seeking confident, adaptable, and proactive Cover Supervisors to support their teams on a day‑to‑day and short‑term basis. Working through Veritas Education, you'll step into classrooms to deliver pre‑planned lessons, maintain a positive learning environment, and ensure continuity for students in the absence of their usual teacher.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Delivering pre‑set lessons across a range of subjects

  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a calm, productive environment

  • Supporting students with their learning and engagement

  • Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff after each lesson

    • What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people (school‑based experience ideal but not essential)

  • Strong communication and behaviour‑management skills

  • Confidence leading a classroom without direct teacher supervision

  • A flexible, reliable and positive approach

  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
