Veritas Education are currently looking to appoint reliable, confident and flexible Cover Supervisors to work on a day‑to‑day supply basis across a number of secondary schools in the Wakefield & Kirklees area.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are keen to build experience within education-whether you're a graduate considering a career in teaching, an experienced Cover Supervisor, or someone with strong behaviour management skills looking for flexible work.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher
  • Deliver pre-prepared work to students across a range of subjects
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and ensure classroom routines are upheld
  • Promote positive behaviour and support pupils in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

    • Requirements

    To be considered, you will need:

  • Experience working with young people (ages 11-16)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • A confident, adaptable, and professional approach
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A valid DBS on the update service-or willingness to apply for one through Veritas Education
