About Us: We are a trusted recruitment agency partnering with secondary schools in the Thamesmead area, and we are currently seeking motivated and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of a class teacher. If you're passionate about education and supporting students, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classroom activities in the absence of the regular class teacher.

  • Ensure students remain on task and complete set work in a timely manner.

  • Manage student behaviour effectively, ensuring adherence to school policies.

  • Support the teacher's lesson plans and provide assistance where necessary.

  • Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.

  • Report any issues or incidents to the school leadership team as required.

    • Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.

  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.

  • Flexible and adaptable to different school environments.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

  • A positive attitude towards teaching and education.

    • Desirable (but not essential):

  • A background in education, youth work, or sports coaching.

  • Degree or relevant qualifications in education-related fields.
