Cover Supervisor for Secondary School

Full Time

Enfield

£100-£120 per day

September 2024 start

At Veritas, we work with schools across London and the surrounding areas including primary, secondary, and SEN schools. This includes private and independent schools as well as state schools. We are currently looking for a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in the Borough of Enfield to start in September 2024. Similar roles may be available in schools in other London boroughs. This is a full time, long term position.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be as follows:

  • cover absent teachers across the school
  • support students who have difficulties
  • deliver pre-planned lessons
  • encourage students to engage with their learning proactively
  • help students reach their attainment levels
  • manage behaviour effectively
  • provide a safe learning enviornment
  • liaise with senior staff /colleagues

    • Requirements:

  • degree level qualifications
  • must have a good understanding of the UK curriculum
  • previous classroom /teaching/cover supervisor experience
  • experience managing behaviour
  • an understanding of leading and directing a class
  • strong knowledge of safeguarding
  • subjected to an enhanced DBS check (Online Updated) and 2 references on file
