About Us:

The Metropolitan North Region Music Resource Centre (MRC) provides professional supervision and support for Instrumental Music teachers within the region. Our team provides professional support for teachers in curriculum, pedagogy and in specialist instrument areas in order to deliver . The MRC supports a suite of enrichment programs for students including specialist instrument programs, IM Online, cluster camps and workshops, as well as regional and state programs including Fanfare, Choral Fanfare, Choral Honours and Singfest.

About the Role:

As an integral member of the regional music team, the ideal candidate for this role will have

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel and preferably
  • Experience in state school systems including OneSchool, library management software and school financial management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operate autonomously in the provision of business services relating to operation of the Music Resource Centre.
  • Work closely with the Regional Music Coordinator, Head of Department (Enrichment) and staff at Everton Park State High School to financially administer regional and cluster workshops and events (track event budgets, raise invoices, organise payments to suppliers, book casual staff and guest tutors/conductors, venues and equipment).
  • Collate event rolls and medical information (including emergency medical/action plans) for multi-school cluster activities and put together support materials to enable the successful running of workshops and events, including copies of music and placement in folders, name tags, lanyards, rolls and medical information, first aid kits and regional equipment as required.
  • Management of the Music Resource Centre sheet music and equipment library.
