About your role:

As the Computer Systems Technician you will:

  • Contribute to the implementation of key departmental initiatives in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.
  • Conduct and coordinate the implementation and support of systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards
  • Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT support
  • Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies
  • Provide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems
  • Advise, communicate, apply and monitor the implementation of departmental information standards and policies
  • Participate in service level and work practice reviews
  • Maintain currency of technical proficiency and skills

Our ideal candidate would possess these attributes:

  • A detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 and above server operating systems
  • A high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switches
  • A good understanding of end user device and printer support
  • Knowledge of Windows 10 and above, iPadOS, and macOS
  • A drivers licence is a requirement for this position due to travel required between base location and schools on a regular basis
  • Travel and overnight absences from base may be required of this position
