About the Role:

Join our team at the Department of Education as a Computer Systems Officer and take on a diverse range of responsibilities to ensure the seamless functioning of our ICT systems.

As a Computer Systems Officer, you will provide essential technical support, undertaking administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks to uphold the performance and stability of our ICT infrastructure. You'll proactively monitor critical services, identify operational issues, and contribute to their swift resolution. Adhering to Cyber Security best practices will be a top priority.

Your role will also encompass delivering strong technical support, aligning requests with established standards and procedures, and meeting service level agreements. You'll play a key role in implementing and improving ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Release, and Problem Management, while maintaining adherence to organizational policies and guidelines.

By actively participating in the development and maintenance of standardized processes and technical documentation, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our operational efficiency. Your advanced skills in fault diagnosis, proactive remedial action, and technical reporting will be instrumental in driving informed decision-making and supporting the department's ICT operations teams.
