Pay: £95 - £110 per day Full-time, Part-time, Short-term and Long-term Opportunities Available

Veritas Education are seeking compassionate and dedicated Complex Care Support Assistants to support children within specialist education settings across County Durham.

These roles involve supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), autism and complex medical needs. Schools provide highly personalised learning environments where every child is supported to achieve their full potential through specialist teaching, therapy input and tailored care.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a genuine difference to their daily school experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties
  • Assisting with personal care and moving & handling where required
  • Supporting children with autism, sensory needs and communication difficulties
  • Encouraging independence, engagement and participation in learning activities
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and medical professionals
  • Promoting a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment

    • Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND, complex needs or care requirements
  • A calm, patient and compassionate approach
  • Confidence supporting pupils with personal care needs
  • Experience within schools, care settings, residential care, support work or healthcare is desirable
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
