Complex Care Assistant

Veritas Education are working with a range of complex needs settings within the Leeds and West Yorkshire area, who are looking to recruit a number of complex care assistants on either long-term temporary contracts, or on a permanent basis.

The Role:

  • Working across the SEN school in supporting children of all ages (from 4 - 19 years old) with a range of complex physical, medical and learning needs.
  • Assisting other medical and care-based staff in providing suitable complex care for all learners, following healthcare, educational and medical plans to meet their needs.
  • Support with personal care, hygiene support and changing for all learners requiring that intervention (This will be across Ey to Post 16 age groups).
  • Work alongside TA's, support staff and teachers in creating a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment for learners to access their education and lessons.
  • Be confident in supporting a range of complex needs, such as Autism, Asperger's Down Syndrome, communication/sensory needs, and physical/medical requirements.
