About the role:

As the Community Hub Coordinator, you will assist in the development of school and community links, and provision of information and support on education related issues to facilitate children's engagement in the introduction to school.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement strategies for effective community networks and partnerships between key stakeholders in the local area to encourage a positive, inviting introduction to school.
  • Ensure that communities and children are involved in the design and implementation of tailored wellbeing programs.
  • Develop a communication strategy to ensure families in the community are well aware of opportunities created and are engaged with the hub activities.
  • Ensure integration of the Community Hub activities with the range of programs and services in the community.
  • Facilitate suitable consultative mechanisms and procedures to provide effective coordination and collaboration across local, state and federal government funded services that will make a difference in delivering wellbeing programs.
  • Interact positively with parents, students, colleagues and community members, including the onsite kindergarten and undertake duties consistent with the strategic direction of the school and Community Hub Partnership.
  • Maintain knowledge and connection to local supports and services, school routines and procedures.
  • Utilise networks to strengthen social cohesion between and across communities.
  • Prepare and respond to correspondence and facilitate reporting and evaluation - some administrative assistance may be provided as negotiated with the Principal.
