About the Role 

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Services and Systems Engineer to manage, deploy, and maintain our cloud infrastructure. In this critical role, you will work closely with both the Enterprise Technology and Service Delivery Teams to ensure our cloud services are robust, aligned with industry best practices, and support the organisation's strategic goals. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cloud strategies that align with our goals.
  • Evaluate and recommend Microsoft cloud solutions, or specific SaaS solutions to ensure the best outcomes for our staff and students.
  • Lead the migration of legacy on-premises systems to Microsoft Cloud Services.
  • Ensure seamless integration between cloud and on-premises systems as required.
  • Oversee the management and maintenance of both cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, of Cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
  • Work closely with the in-house Cyber Security team to ensure the security of Cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Work closely with the Service Delivery team to ensure alignment and integration of Technical Services.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines required.
  • Highly desirable one or more of the following qualifications or certifications:
    • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate and/or Azure Solutions.
    • Architect Expert certification.
    • Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate and Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.
  • Working with Children’s registrations in NSW and ACT (WWCC and WWVP).
  • Driver's License.

Selection Criteria

  1. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing cloud strategies that align with organisational goals.
  2. Proven track record in managing and maintaining both cloud and on-premises systems, ensuring high availability and scalability.
  3. Experience working with Cyber Security teams to enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry frameworks.
  4. Experience leading the migration of legacy on-premises systems to cloud environments.
  5. Experience deploying and managing Intune and Entra ID environments.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
