About the School:

Established in 1991, William Ross has provided the education thousands of students have needed to begin their careers or pursue further education. About the Role:

School cleaners play a vital role in the school community by reducing the spread of disease through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard. It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of cleaning and sanitising across a variety of areas - general classrooms and staffrooms, Manual Arts areas, Home Economics areas, Special Education classrooms, Sports and Multi-purpose Halls, Gymnasium, Library and main office areas.
  • Maintaining equipment, and appropriate use of chemicals.
  • Disposal of rubbish and litter control.
  • Securing buildings, and activating and disarming school security systems.
