About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of our school by maintaining a clean and safe environment for all.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of internal areas, including windows, furniture, fixtures, toilets, sick bays, and floor surfaces.
- Cleaning and maintaining external areas, including paved surfaces, drains, gutters, graffiti removal, and litter control.
- Operating, cleaning, and maintaining cleaning equipment, including hosing, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and polishing floors.
- Ensuring site security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating/disarming security systems.
- Liaising with school leadership regarding supplies, reporting safety/security issues, and directing visitors to appropriate personnel.
This role would suit someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
- Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a school or similar environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to tasks.
