About the Role:

The role of a school cleaner is essential in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe learning environment for all students.

This position encompasses a range of cleaning duties and security responsibilities, ensuring the school remains a welcoming and secure space for everyone.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain cleanliness across the school, including classrooms, offices, bathrooms, and outdoor areas.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as buffing, stripping, and polishing.
  • Carry out security duties, including locking and unlocking buildings and activating security systems.
  • Report safety, security, or maintenance issues to the Principal or designated staff.
  • Assist with ordering and replenishing cleaning supplies as needed.

  • You have a strong attention to detail and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • You're reliable and responsible, with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • You're capable of working independently as well as part of a team, ensuring the smooth operation of the school environment.
  • You're able to report any maintenance or safety concerns in a timely manner to ensure a safe and clean space for students and staff.
  • A commitment to contributing positively to the school community and maintaining a welcoming environment for all.
