About the Role

School cleaners play a vital role in the school community by reducing the spread of disease through high standards of cleaning practices and keeping the appearance of the school at a high standard. It is the responsibility of school cleaners to deliver a clean and hygienic learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • All aspects of cleaning and sanitising across a variety of areas - general classrooms and staffrooms,
  • Manual Arts areas, Home Economics areas, Special Education classrooms, Sports and Multi-purpose
  • Halls, Gymnasium, Library and main office areas.
  • Maintaining equipment, and appropriate use of chemicals.
  • Disposal of rubbish and litter control.
  • Securing buildings, and activating and disarming school security systems.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • A team player mentality, with excellent time management skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • An ability to prioritise tasks and be flexible.
  • A proven ability to work independently and harmoniously within a team environment to achieve quality outcomes.
