About Us:

Cavendish Road State High School is a co-educational state secondary school, located in Holland Park approximately 15 minutes from the city.

About the Role:

Multiple vacancies - These positions are:

  • 23 hours per week Monday to Friday splits shifts per day.
  • 16 hours per week Monday to Friday Afternoon shifts only.
  • 14 hours per week Thursday and Friday split shifts per day.

Split shift hours are worked between 4:00-8:30am and 1:30-6:00pm

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors, cupboards, concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces
  • Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming of floors, removal of graffiti, hosing outside facilities
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
  • Activating and disarming school security systems as required. Locking and unlocking buildings.
  • Reporting security, safety, damage concerns to the Principal/Business Manager or Facility Manager

About You:

  • Be able to work in a team as well as autonomously
  • Be a self-starter to support the needs of an ever-changing environment

Mandatory requirements:

  • A criminal history check will be initiated on the successful applicant.
  • In accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000, the successful applicant must hold a current Working with Children Check clearance (blue card).
