About the Role 

Join the team at Rosary Primary as a classroom teacher!

A classroom teacher shapes students' academic, social, and emotional growth by creating a safe, engaging environment for learning. They deliver lessons, assess progress, and adapt their methods to meet individual needs, while also mentoring and fostering essential life skills. Teachers work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to support each child's success and inspire a lifelong love of learning.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications   

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master in Teaching.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and/or Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)registration.
  • Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) registration and/or NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.

Selection Criteria 

  1. Thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning.
  2. Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with colleagues, students, and parents.
  3. Capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community complying with the legal, administrative, and professional requirements.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge of classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.

Other Eligibility Criteria 

  • You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position. 
  • This position involves working with children. The appointment of successful applicants is subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment in accordance with CECG policy.
