About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an approachable and caring Classroom Teacher to join the supportive team at The Assumption Catholic Primary School in Bathurst, NSW.  The teacher in a Catholic school is someone who can encourage development and nurture the personal, spiritual and educational growth of each and every student. 

We are seeking a Kindergarten Teacher who understands and commits to supporting the mission and ethos of Catholic education within the school by:

  • Creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies.

  • Developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assess and report student progress.

  • Using inclusive teaching strategies and adapting practices for equitable education.

  • Analysing student assessment data to identify learning needs and encouraging improvement.

  • Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes.

  • Collaborating with school leadership, staff, and contributing to school life.

  • Providing student supervision and assisting in organising extracurricular activities.

About You (selection criteria)
The new Teacher will enrich the experiences of our students through contemporary teaching experience and aligning with the following selection criteria:

  1. Approval to teach Primary students with a proven ability to implement and design contemporary learning through School vision and Learning Framework.

  2. Experience in monitoring and assessing student data and using this data to inform teaching for areas of academic learning, social and emotional learning and behaviour.

  3. Demonstrate a commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities and a capacity to reflect on, evaluate and improve professional knowledge and practice in a professional learning team. 

  4. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to work collaboratively, share expertise and build strong partnerships with students, parents, staff and the wider community.

  5. Commitment to contributing to a Catholic learning organisation through faith and mission.

  6. Hold relevant tertiary qualifications, accreditation to teach in NSW and Category D accreditation in the CEDB Work, Teach, Lead Policy.
