Clairvaux MacKillop College are seeking School Officers to undertake a range of tasks in supporting the needs of students, under the direction of the classroom teacher, in our 7-12 classrooms.
Under the direction of the Classroom Teacher - Duties will include and not limited to:- Assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students including the use technology and learning support activities.
- Monitor the progress of students and identify learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Improve student learning outcomes by providing support and advice on supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate with school specialists in organising and assisting with intervention groups to coordinate services.
- Supervise students on specific learning activities.
- Document observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials.
Ideally you will have:
- previous experience as a Teacher Aide and hold a minimum of a Certificate III in Educational Support
- proven communication and interpersonal skills
- an understanding of the work of an inclusive classroom and a willingness to work as part of a team
You will also demonstrate an ability and initiative to apply your skills in supporting students to achieve successful learning outcomes.
