Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.
- Hume has an open enrolment policy so educates children from many faiths and with a diverse range of backgrounds and abilities.
- The School aspires to develop young people who are kind, creative, inquiring, socially and emotionally at ease, and who strive to achieve their personal best in all their endeavours.
- In 2025, the School will have 2,960 students and employ some 290 staff - 195 teaching and 95 non-teaching. The student enrolment at each campus is at Mt Ridley 1,448, Donnybrook 1,036 and Kalkallo 476.
- Ultimately at capacity, Hume will have 3,640 students (Mt Ridley 1,456, Donnybrook 1,596 and Kalkallo 588) with a corresponding cohort of teaching and general staff totalling 350 across its three campuses with plans for further expansion.
- As one of Victoria’s fastest growing schools, it is expected to be one of the largest non-government schools in the state, with plans for further expansion.

About the role:
We are seeking passionate, committed educators, Primary or Secondary to join our team on a casual basis to fill in for both planned and unplanned absences in a supportive and professional environment. - be responsible for providing a duty of care and “as normal” learning environment in the classroom for students whilst their regular teacher is absent;
- deliver the curriculum material provided by the absent teacher;
take the student roll in every class supervised; - maintain standards of student care and discipline in and outside of the classroom,
- undertake yard duty and other supervision duties as requested.
- at all times behave in a manner that is professional, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- demonstrate a commitment to achieving best practice in matters relating to student wellbeing and curriculum delivery
- work effectively with all other staff members of the School
- complete other duties as assigned from time to time by the Daily Organiser

Requirements of the Role:
- Bachelor of Education degree or higher
- Current registration, or immediate eligibility for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
