About the Role
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Career Advisors for a part time, fixed term contract position that will be based at our Elizabeth East campus with some work required at our Golden Grove campus. The Career Advisor will work with students, families, and staff to support informed career and subject choices for secondary to senior secondary students. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working collaboratively to foster student growth and engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide one‑on‑one and group career counselling for students across the secondary years.
- Assist students with course selection, tertiary entry, and vocational pathway planning.
- Build relationships with universities, TAFE, and industry to broaden student opportunities.
- Coordinate career events, work experience, and employer engagement programs.
- Maintain current knowledge of career trends, employment skills, and training pathways.
Essential Criteria
- Relevant qualifications in career development, counselling, or education.
- Strong understanding of SACE, VET, and tertiary entry processes.
- Experience working with school aged students.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity.
- Flexibility and an ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work with a variety of IT software platforms.
- A commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of the College.
