Canteen Assistant - Yugumbir State School
Monday to Friday 7am -11.45am (4.25 hrs daily + ADO)
Permanent position - start date 20/4/2026
Responsibilities include:
- Provide quality canteen and catering customer service including food production and food preparation duties, counter service, clearing tables and cleaning duties.
- Provide a clean, hygienic environment for the preparation, storage and safe handling of food.
- Follow procedure regarding food preparation and adhere to daily menu plans.
- Ensure that malfunctioning equipment is reported to the Canteen Supervisor in a prompt manner using appropriate paper work.
- Operate a cash register and collect money from client groups.

The Perfect Fit:
- Demonstrate your organisational ability
- Proven understanding of Code of Conduct and Workplace Health and Safety
- Hold a Suitability Blue Card (requirement) or be able to apply for one
- To have work rights in Australia (requirement) and Criminal History Check clearance.
- To be flexible and able to work in a busy environment
- Barista experience, highly recommended.
