Your Role:

As the Canteen Assistant, you will lead the daily operation of our hot meal program, ensuring students receive nutritious, balanced meals in a welcoming environment. This role involves menu planning, meal preparation and delivery, and maintaining kitchen hygiene. You will work with school staff to support the overall health and wellness of our students.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and plan healthy, balanced menus that meet dietary standards.
  • Order and manage inventory of ingredients and supplies.
  • Prepare and serve one hot meal daily to students.
  • Maintain food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in the kitchen and serving areas.
  • Collaborate with school staff to address dietary needs and preferences.

About You:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Previous experience in food service or meal planning (preferred).
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Effective communicator and team player.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
