The Campus Minister is responsible for providing faith, spiritual and pastoral support to students and contributing to strengthening the religious life of the school community. The Campus Minister provides support and fosters collaboration between students, school staff, parish leaders and the wider Church and local community through the following;
- Participate in the planning of religious festivals and celebrations throughout the school year, highlighting the diversity of religious traditions and encourage students to actively participate in these events, promoting a sense of pride in their religious identity and culture.
- Assist in the professional learning, engagement, and strategic support to build the school capacity, to deliver spiritual and theological development practices for staff, students and community members.
- Collaborate in developing, promoting and facilitating the implementation and evaluation of specific formation programs, professional learning and resources to support the school Catholic Identity Strategy.
- Participate in the design, development and facilitation of prayer, reflection and liturgical experiences and facilitate programs that support the faith, spiritual and pastoral development of students. Encourage and involve students in the planning process of activities, experiences and celebrations enabling them to contribute ideas and suggestions.
- Engage and promote the role of Campus Minister within the school and facilitate opportunities for involvement in the school community through initiatives, events and ceremonies.
To be eligible to be considered for this role you will:
- hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card prior to commencement;
- be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
- have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education.
