Saint Mary's Catholic College is a Prep to Year 12 College offering families a co-educational pathway to life-long learning. We are seeking a Campus Minister to advance the Religious Life of the school community and provide faith, spiritual and pastoral support to students.

You will work with the College Mission Team, to empower young people to utilise their gifts and talents and provide faith development opportunities alongside providing administration support.

Duties include:

  • providing pastoral and spiritual support to students
  • creating opportunities for faith development of students
  • organising and facilitating reflection and prayer experiences
  • contributing to the organisation of major school liturgies and celebrations and engaging the school community in social justice and social action, and administration support.

To be successful in this role you will embrace the diversity of students and situations, be open minded, sensitive, have a good judgement and display well developed communication and interpersonal skills.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • willingness and commitment to support the mission and ethos of Catholic education
  • formal and/or informal experience in working with young people in a Christian context (e.g. formal experience may involve paid work with a registered youth organisation whereas informal experience may involve volunteer work with a local Parish youth group)
  • hold or be willing to work towards successfully completing a Certificate IV or higher in Religious Education, Theology, Christian Ministry, or in similar related field.
