St Benedict’s College is an exciting educational facility built up in the beautiful growing community and suburb of Mango Hill. We are seeking a Campus Minister with a passion to work as a member of a team that provides faith and spiritual support to students. This role is project focused and designed to contribute to the religious life of St Benedict’s College community. The applicant we are seeking should have an ability to bring Benedictine spirituality to life for students and the extended College community and seek to empower young people to utilise their gifts and talents to live their faith in a variety of settings including school, parish, wider Church and local community.

Mandatory requirements: 

  • hold valid Paid Working with Children Blue Card is mandatory (Blue Card)
  • be eligible to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment; and
  • hold or be willing to successfully complete a Graduate Certificate in Religious Education/Ministry or equivalent as recognised by Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE)
  • Undertake BCE Mandatory Student Protection Training, and other training as required
  • have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education. 
    • The Archdiocese of Brisbane has standards of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children. Our commitment to these standards requires that we conduct Working With Children (WWC) and background referencing for all persons who will engage in direct and regular involvement with children and young people and/or adults-at-risk. The organisation is fully committed to child safety and has a zero tolerance to abuse of children or adults-at-risk.
