About the Role
As the Business Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing corporate services, supporting educational management activities, and leading systemic change.
You will be supported by a capable and collaborative College Services team, comprising staff across a range of classifications who contribute to the effective delivery of corporate services across the Weipa and Mapoon Campuses. Working alongside experienced administration, finance, HR, facilities and operational support staff, this role provides leadership, coordination and strategic direction while drawing on the strengths of a diverse and multidisciplinary team committed to supporting the school's daily operations and long-term success.
Reporting to the College Business Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Provide strategic advice and leadership to strengthen the delivery of corporate and administrative services across the College
- Lead and manage human resources for school support staff, overseeing payroll, recruitment, induction, workforce planning and performance.
- Manage, monitor and deliver financial processes, including preparation and reviewing of budget plans, provision of financial management advice, oversee financial activities, including uniform shop and tuckshop operations and ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
- Oversee school facilities, assets and minor works to support safe and effective learning environments.
- Build strong relationships with staff, students and the community while driving continuous improvement and service excellence.
- Building networks with other Business Managers and stakeholders to ensure best practice in corporate service delivery.
