About the Role:
Under the direction and leadership of the Executive Principal in your role as Business Manager you will:

  • Lead the delivery of school wide corporate and support services in a large and complex split campus College environment
  • Provide high level strategic advice to the Executive Principal and wider Leadership team regarding the development and ongoing management of the school's annual budget in accordance with operational plans, and effectively analyse and report on financial performance against agreed objectives to ensure the financial integrity of business operations
  • Manage significant minor and major capital works projects, negotiate with external contractors to ensure accountability for school maintenance, develop and implement initiatives for facilities management, asset maintenance and replacement plans
  • Lead and manage human resources for school support staff and provide advice on a diverse range of human resource management practices (e.g. employee relations, recruitment, payroll, workplace health and safety, code of conduct and performance management).
  • Critically analyse, review and refine systems and processes in line with continuous improvement practices, and shape new policy directions for the school
  • Develop and implement business strategy, and engage in extensive risk planning and contingency management.

Demonstrated ability to provide high level strategic advice, analysis and support in relation to financial planning and budgeting in accordance with operational plans, and to provide high level analysis and reporting on the College's financial performance to ensure the financial integrity of business operations.
  2. Demonstrated ability to manage significant facilities projects on time and on budget, negotiate with external contractors and key stakeholders, ensuring accountability for school maintenance and a positive, professional, inclusive learning environment for students and staff.
  3. Demonstrated capacity to lead and manage human resources for school support staff, providing advice on a range of human resource management practices, lead change management and provide strategic solutions to human resource issues.
  4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop and sustain productive relationships within and beyond the school community, including students and families from diverse backgrounds and community agencies.
