Your Opportunity:
As the Business Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient administrative management of the school by providing corporate services and advice to the Principal. You will work autonomously within established policies and procedures, managing competing priorities in a dynamic school environment.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

  • Managing day-to-day school administration, reception services, records management and correspondence
  • Supervising and supporting school support staff, including workforce planning, rosters, leave and timesheets
  • Coordinating recruitment, induction and training of school support staff
  • Assisting the Principal with school budgeting and managing financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, banking, reconciliations and OneSchool reporting
  • Supporting the management of school resources, assets and facilities, including minor works and maintenance coordination
  • Preparing reports, meeting minutes, newsletters and school documentation
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders including staff, parents, community members and departmental representatives
  • Providing advice and solutions on business, finance, HR and facilities matters in line with departmental policies

Highly desirable skills and experience:

  • Strong administrative, financial and organisational skills
  • Experience in school or public sector administration (highly desirable)
  • Ability to work autonomously while supporting the Principal and wider school team
  • Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion and student wellbeing
