About our School:
Opening in Term 1 2027, the new Logan Reserve State Special School will provide a modern, inclusive learning environment for students with diverse learning needs. Initially welcoming students in the primary years, the school will grow into a Prep to Year 12 campus, supporting students throughout their educational journey. Purpose-built to meet the needs of its community, the school will feature 11 contemporary buildings, including junior and senior learning centres, an administration building, multi-purpose hall, resource centre, canteen, specialist music and hospitality facilities.
About the Role:
As the Business Manager you will interpret and analyse business plans and work alongside the Principal to deliver a range of corporate services. You will manage the timely delivery of organisational executive and administrative support; frequently identify opportunities to adapt processes; supervise the support staff workforce; and encourage an environment in which quality services are delivered by demonstrating best practice, inspiring change and influencing key stakeholders.
As a foundation staff member, you will have the unique opportunity to help establish a positive school culture, build strong community connections, and contribute to creating an exceptional educational environment from the very beginning.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the delivery of corporate services, ensuring effective and efficient school operations.
- Provide strategic advice and support to the Principal across finance, human resources, facilities, and administration.
- Lead, mentor, and develop school support staff, including workforce planning, recruitment, induction, performance management, and professional development.
- Manage and monitor the school's budget, financial planning, reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee administrative systems and processes, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Provide facilities and asset management advice, including project coordination, contractor engagement, and maintenance planning.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with staff, community members, contractors, and departmental stakeholders.
- Lead organisational change initiatives and promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture.
- Ensure corporate services align with departmental policies, legislative requirements, and best-practice governance.
- Support the effective use of resources, technology, and business systems to achieve school priorities and improve service delivery.
