About the Role:
This pivotal role is integral to the smooth operation of our school, ensuring the effective management of financial, administrative, and operational functions. The successful candidate will work closely with the Principal, staff, and the wider school community to support the delivery of high-quality education and contribute to the ongoing success of Mount Cotton State School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Oversee the school's budget, financial planning, and reporting in line with Department of Education policies. Ensure efficient allocation of resources to support school priorities.
- Human Resource Management: Coordinate staffing administration, including payroll, recruitment processes, and compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Facilities and Asset Management: Manage the maintenance and development of school facilities and assets, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff.
- Administrative Leadership: Lead and support the school's administrative team, fostering a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure the school complies with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including workplace health and safety requirements.
- Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, community members, and external stakeholders to support the school's vision and goals.
It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent financial acumen and experience in budget management and reporting.
- Proficiency in administrative systems and software, including OneSchool (or willingness to learn).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive school environment.
