About the School:
Camira State School was established in 1974 and has been proudly providing an education for students from Camira and surrounding suburbs for over forty years. Camira is a suburb of Ipswich City located on the western side of Brisbane and approximately 9km East of the Ipswich City centre. We are a proud co-educational school with approximately 650 students currently enrolled across 27 classes from the Preparatory Year to Year 6. We also offer a Pre-Prep Program designed to ease the transition in to Primary Education. Camira State School strives to provide educational excellence underpinned by the school values of Respect, responsibility and Resilience. We value working in partnership with students, parents and the wider community to ensure that all students receive a quality education appropriate to their individual needs in a safe and supportive learning environment. Our current enrolment of 750 students requires the strategic leadership of a Business Manager who is aligned to the school priorities and can multitask the multitude of fast-paced priorities each day.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and budgeting, ideally within an educational or similar setting.
- Knowledge of WH&S regulations, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, with demonstrated capacity to manage responsibilities effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and support staff.
- Proficiency in using OneSchool or similar systems for financial reporting and school administration.
- Excellence knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work autonomously.
The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:
- Be a strong communicator;
- Have superior time management skills;
- Have previous experience relevant to the role.
It would be advantageous if the candidate had:
- Previous experience in a Queensland school setting.
- Knowledge of Queensland Department of Education policies and procedures.
- Knowledge and skills with maintenance of schools' website and social media, or the ability to quickly acquire this skill.
