About this job

About the Department of Education

The Department of Education is dedicated to building an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the community and schools we support by treating everyone with respect and dignity. This starts with recruitment and selection. The methods of assessing suitability in the recruitment process may vary. This includes making reasonable adjustments to support applicants at all stages of the process and employee lifecycle.

About Avoca State School

Avoca State School is a member of the West Bundaberg Cluster of schools serving families from the nearby Avoca, Millbank, Branyan and rural/residential areas. Historically, our population has consistently been between 300 – 400 students. This has great advantages for the students and families of Avoca State School because it makes us a large enough school to have many of the facilities and human resources of a large school but at the same time, to be small enough to be intimate and to maintain a personal approach.

Avoca State School is committed to understanding your child, using systemic and school based data to benchmark achievement and subsequently mustering high quality programs to support and/or extend your child's learning. We strive to make our school a need-satisfying place for all that learn and work here.
