Veritas Education work with a variety of primary, secondary, and SEN schools across London and the surrounding areas, providing high-quality teachers and support staff for long-term, short-term, permanent, and daily supply roles. We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.

We are currently working with an an SEMH school in Hemel Hempstead who are looking for experienced Beheviour Support Assistants to join their team. The role is full time, Mon-Fri from 8.30am-4pm, term time only, and will be to begin asap.

In this role you will be required to support students on a one to one basis in class as well as with groups of learners. You will be focused on providing learning support, ensuring that you are providing the best experience and care possible for the students.

Key Responsibilities for Behaviour Support Assistant:

  • Supporting students with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, mental health, and educational needs.
  • Working proactively to help students achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Encouraging students to actively engage with their learning in a positive and constructive manner.
  • Helping to create and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting teachers in delivering lessons and supporting students' overall development.
  • As a Behaviour Support Assistant you will have:

  • Proven experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges or special educational needs.
  • Previous experience supporting children and young people with diverse needs in an educational or care setting.
  • Knowledge of effective learning and behaviour management strategies.
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive difference.
  • Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.
